RAMCO Systems, India’s cloud-born logistics software company, has assured its many clients in the Philippines of the highest security standards.
The company, a subsidiary of the Ramco Group that is worth at least US$1-billion, made this assurance in an interview with Scitech and Digital News.
Virender Aggarwal, Ramco Systems CEO, said his company has under its protective wings many of the world’s top and biggest companies in various industries.
“We have all the security process and procedures in place, otherwise, we will not have customers like General Electric; the largest banks in the world; one of the top three consulting companies in the world,” he said.
“The fact that we have Fortune 500 clients is a testimony to the fact that we have a robust process in place.”
Aggarwal, whose company entered the country in 2016, said “we bring (and apply) the same security standards and highest standards” in the Philippines.
“And all the customers in the Philippines will have that same standards that we use with the likes of Boeing and Airbus…and the largest Fortune 500 retailers,” he assured.
On August 9, Ramco Systems and the Philippines’ AP Cargo Logistics Network Corp. announced their partnership at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila.
They are two heavyweights in their respective line of business joining together for a mutually beneficial agreement.
It’s about leveraging digital transformation that every business, big or small company, in the world that wants to survive a highly competitive e-commerce environment — which is to either embrace technology or bite digital dust — has to accept.
Ramco Systems has won the trust of AP Cargo, the “Philippines’ leading domestic provider of express logistics for air cargo and other goods.”
On the other hand, Ramco is described as “a next-gen enterprise software player disrupting the market with its multi-tenant cloud and mobile-based enterprise software.”

With the deal, the Indian firm creamed both local and global vendors.
Their deal bestows AP Cargo, headed by Virgilio R. Villacorte as president and CEO, the right to leverage one of the Indian company’s human resource (HR) software.
It means more efficient and faster operation and savings for AP Cargo.
As it deep dives into digital commerce, the Filipino company which was established in 1972 will roll out “its integrated Logistics platform bundled with next-gen Finance and HR, for the benefit of more than 1,600 employees, covering over 500 fleet, reducing manual workloads and generating cost savings while automating tedious administrative tasks.”
AP Cargo welcomed the partnership, which also signaled the company’s embrace of digital technology.
“The decision to automate our manual systems with a future-ready logistics suite is part of a larger strategy to overhaul our supply chain. Ramco’s unified solution will offer real-time operational visibility and better planning capabilities, enabling us to arrest revenue leakage and boost productivity to drive overall growth,” said Villacorte.
The Filipino executive lauded what he described as “a great track record” of the Indian company “as a logistics software provider in the Philippines, and we are excited to work with them for our digital transformation.”
Aggarwal responded in kind to Villacorte’s compliment.
“We are pleased to announce AP Cargo as our latest customer in the logistics and shipping space. Logistics in the backbone of global trade and the Philippines has enjoyed remarkable growth in recent times.
“Our intelligent, mobile-friendly enterprise suite has won us the trust of customers throughout the Philippines, helping local enterprises optimize their operations and meet the changing demands of commerce in the region.
Ramco Systems, Aggarwal added, built its solution tailored to address specific pain points in the logistics market.
He described AP Cargo’s acceptance of his company’s logistics suite as a “milestone” in Ramco’s ongoing journey in the economies of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The suite is called Ramco Logistics Software, which is an integrated Cloud-based platform for Third Party Logistics, Freight Forwarders, and Parcel/Courier service providers.
Aggarwal said his company will completely replace AP Cargo’s existing system, and the Filipino logistics and shipping firm will migrate “into our system end-to-end.”
The deal will cover warehouse management, transportation management, fleet management, command center, scheduling of shipment, trucks, drivers, air cargo, freight forwarding, vendor and supplier portals.
Also in the deal are payroll, finance, payable, receivables, general ledger, and fixed assets, etc.
Aggarwal said the new system “will go live in five to six months.”
And with that, AP Cargo will be moving from the Stone Age to the Digital Age as Villacorte said at the event. (EKU)
