(SDN), December 19 — Startups and entrepreneurs in the Philippines can expect a stronger support from the government through a five-year technology startup roadmap.
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that spells out their initiatives to further boost their support for the struggling Filipino startups.
They inked the MOU as the highlight of the 2nd Technology Business Incubation (TBI) Summit 2018 held at the landmark Manila Hotel, Rizal Park, Manila, Metro Manila.
Signing the MOU are DOST Secretary Fortunato T. de la Pena, DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez, and DICT Secretary Eliseo M. Rio, Jr.

“The Parties commit to come up with projects, events, and/or endeavors by way of tie-ups, joint program activities, cost matching to be reflected in their future MOAs to succeeding activities and events that will promote and assist Philippine startups,” the MOA said.
Each of the three agencies have already been implementing their respective programs for the country’s startups. (EKU)
