FEATI University Hosts Visit from Tokyo Metro & Philippine Railways Institute

(SDN) — Amid the pandemic the Philippines’ FEATI University is revving up its engines of knowledge as it hosts a visit on March 9, 2022 from the Tokyo Metro (東京メトロ, Tōkyō Metoro) and Philippine Railways Institute (PRI).

It can be recalled the 76 years old engineering educational institution, a sharer of technology and molder of minds, is a recipient of two Marunouchi Series 2 trains donated by Tokyo Metro Company.

Headed by President Adolfo Jesus R. Gopez, FEATI will use the train as training tool for its students taking up courses under its Railway programs.

On Wikipedia it was learned that “Tokyo Metro is a major rapid transit system (RTS) in Tokyo, Japan, operated by the Tokyo Metro Co.” There are other RTS trains that operate in Tokyo but Tokyo Metro “has the higher ridership.”

Meanwhile, the DoTr operates the PRI, is “a rail transportation research and training center in the Philippines” dealing with research and development (R&D) focusing on the “management, operation, and maintenance of railways, and training of personnel in the rail transportation industry” (per DoTr).
