(SDN) — Perhaps, it’s because of the simmering and messy and problematic and dangerous highly contentious issue on the South China Sea/West Philippine Sea.
The issue, rather the long-simmering battle of nerves between China, the world’s largest country by population, and the Philippines, one of the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), over the strategic sea lane is the reason China did not include Philippines in Chinese President Xi Jinping’s June 14 to 18 visits to Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia.
A Chinese website sent SDN – SciTech & Digital News a still sketchy report on the visit that begins Saturday.
Here’s the report in the visit that reached SDN:
“Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to visit Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia from April 14 to 18. This important diplomatic mission highlights strengthened partnerships, regional cooperation, and a shared vision for development.” (/)
