(SDN) — The Philippine National Police (PNP) Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Bangsamoro region has a new Municipal Police Station in Datu Blah Sinsuat, Maguindanao.
PRO Bangsamoro’s main headquarters is located at Camp Salipada K. Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao, a frequent stopover when traveling from Cotabato City to Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, and vice versa.
Minister Naguib G. Sinarimbo, head of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG), led the turned over ceremony last month to the PRO BARMM and Datu Blah Sinsuat local government unit (LGU).
Under the wings of the BARMM are Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi provinces, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi, as well as 63 villages designated as Special Geographic Area (SGA) in North Cotabato province (which itself is not part of the region).

The MILG head, who also acts as the spokesman of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), expressed confidence on the role of the new PNP police station towards peace and security.
“We inaugurated and turned over to the PNP PRO Bangsamoro and the LGU of Datu Blah Sinsuat municipality the newly completed municipal Police Station fully funded by the Bangsamoro Government thru our ministry. This edifice will contribute in securing and protecting this municipality which is now on its way to development,” Sinarimbo emphasized.
The MILG, one of the line agencies of the parliamentary-in-form Bangsamoro government, thanked Police Brig. Gen. Art Cabalona and BARMM Senior Minister Abdulraof Macacua as well as the local government executives.
Sinarimbo also reported the MILG handed over to Minister Abu Amri Taddik, head of the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism (MTIT) the funds for the livelihood component of Project “Tugon” (Response) for returnees from the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) in Maguindanao.
Sinarimbo expects “the fund will be used for the livelihood of the beneficiaries of this comprehensive program and we hope that it will truly transform their lives,” he added.
In closing, the MILG leadership aired its thanks to BARMM Chief Minister Al-Hajj Murad Ebrahim “for his leadership and continuing support to our programs. We will continue to push for programs that will transform our region and its people.”
