Maguindanao del Norte Gov. Macacua, Interior Minister Sinarimbo Lead Groundbreaking of Php7-Mln Fire Station in Datu Blah Sinsuat

         COTABATO CITY — The Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG), the Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Norte, the Provincial Office of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the local government of Datu Blah Sinsuat broke ground on April 13, 2023, to mark the start of construction for the new fire station, which will be built along Barangay Pura in Datu Blah Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
         Meanwhile, the budget for the Php7 million fire station comes from the Bangsamoro Appropriation Act of 2022.
         The fire station, according to Interior and Local Government Minister Atty. Naguib G Sinarimbo, will contribute to economic growth and public safety by preventing and extinguishing all types of destructive fires, as well as saving lives and protecting people in other emergency situations.

        According to Maguindanao del Norte Gov. Abdulraof A. Macacua, such a project is critical to the overall strategy of maintaining peace and order. He added that achieving the set goal is difficult if there is no assurance of life and property security.
         Datu Blah Sinsuat Mayor Datu Marshall I. Sinsuat and Vice Mayor Bai Raida T. Sinsuat expressed their gratitude to the Bangsamoro government and the MILG for carrying out important infrastructure and other projects for the benefit of the Bangsamoro people, as well as their commitment to provide support and proper maintenance for the project’s sustainability.
         Former Maguindanao 1st District Representative Bai Sandra S. Sema, Upi Mayor Ma. Rona Cristina P. Flores, Kabuntalan Mayor Datu Salaban G. Diocolano, Northern Kabuntalan Mayor Datu Umbra B. Dilangalen, Sultan Mastura Mayor Zulficar Ali H. Panda, Barira Mayor Abdul Rauf D. Tomawis, Philippine National Police (PNP) and BFP personnel, and municipal and barangay officials were also present.
