(SDN) — The Philippine National Police (PNP) has another home for its forces stationed in the municipality of Datu Blah Sinsuat, Maguindanao, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
On March 17, 2022, the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (BARMM-MILG) headed by Interior Minister Naguib G. Sinarimbo inaugurated and turned over to the Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR) a newly built Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the Datu Blah Sinsuat local government unit (LGU).
“This infrastructure project is one of the projects of the Bangsamoro Government thru the MILG as support to law enforcement and constituent LGUs. Security and order are of paramount for the Bangsamoro Government to ensure a safe and peaceful community,” Sinarimbo emphasized.
At the event BARMM Senior Minister Abdulraof Macacua, PRO BAR Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Arthur R. Cabalona, and the local officials of Datu Blah Sinsuat lead by Mayor Datu Marshall I. Sinsuat joined Sinarimbo.
In a related development, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) and the PRO BAR signed a Declaration of Support in a partnership for peace and security in the Bangsamoro region as reported by the MILG.
It was learned the UNODC will provide Barangay Tanod (Village Guards) and BPAT Kits for the island provinces of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi Tawi, collectively known as BASULTA
“We thank UNODC Senior Advisor Olivier Lermet and Police Brig. Gen. Arthur Cabalona for this partnership which will support our localized CSOP framework in the Bangsamoro Region by providing the necessary equipment for our Tanods and BPATs in the BASULTA,” said Sinarimbo. — EKU (/)
