(SDN) — FILIPINOS are no different from citizens of other countries. Many countries have been in lockdown because of the global pandemic.

In fact the 2019 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) has and continues to affect 188 countries and regions, the American Johns Hopkins University (JHU) said on its Coronavirus Dashboard.

The JHU Covid-19 Tracker showed there are now 33.99 million confirmed total cases across the world as of October 1 and 1.014 million fatalities.

In the Philippines per the Department of Health (DOH) the number of cases has ballooned to 311,694 with 5,504 who succumbed to the virus. Recovered is at 253,488; active cases, 52,702.

As a result of the pandemic that broke out in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, life has been widely disrupted; the normal routines and activities are no more.

Of life’s aspects affected by Covid-19, you can put travel as one of the severely disrupted.

In the country airlines have been trying get back on the air, like Cebu Pacific Air of the Lucio Tan Group.

In an email to SDN — Science & Digital News, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience Candice Iyog said the airline has been “making slow but steady progress in rebuilding connectivity across the Philippines, and within Asia and the Middle East.”

On the other hand, VP Iyog emphasized the airline management continues to coordinate with government and regulatory offices, “to ensure we fly you safely to take your destination.”

“We’re very happy we can now fly to places such as Boracay and Hong Kong as we restart convenient and safe air travel, one flight at a time,” she says.

Cebu Pacific’s flight to world popular Boracay Island came as the favorite destination opens its doors to tourists this month.

Along with the schedule, the budget airline also introduced Flexible Bookings that includes Unlimited Rebooking and two-year Travel Fund for every traveler’s peace of mind.

Cebu Pacific also introduced as it launces this October the “Juan Love” campaign. Of course, “Juan” refers to every one.

So, if you are itching to break free and aching to fly, Cebu Pacific released today, October 1, an Advisory listing its flight schedule that goes until the month’s end.

Here’s the announcement:
