(SDN) — Humanitarian assistance is going the way of the Bangsamoro region in response to the calamity that is Tropical Storm Paeng.

Meanwhile, a piece of fresh news showed President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has declared today, November 2, a state of calamity in four regions of the country because of the devastation “Paeng” wrought in many parts of the country.
Now under a state of calamity are “Regions 4-A (Calabarzon), 5 (Bicol), 6 (Western Visayas), and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)”, according to The Manila Times in a report by Kristina Maralit.

The latest to send relief goods is Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal A. Adiong, Jr., who dispatched truckloads of rice and other goods to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). His assistance reached the Cotabato City on November 2, Wednesday.
It was actually the second batch of relief assistance from Lanao del Sur. Adiong earlier on October 31 already dispatched the first batch of truckloads of relief goods to “Paeng” affected communities in the region.
BARMM Senior Minister Abdulraof Macacua received the goods, with the teams of the Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi) on hand to help out.

READi is the humanitarian and disaster response arm of the BARMM, and it is under the wings of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) headed by Minister Naguib G. Sinarimbo.
“We thank Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Along Adiong, Jr. of the Province of Lanao del Sur for sending relief assistance to the flood victims in Magauindanao.

The Bangsamoro region’s provinces have sustained 53 dead, 38 injured, and 12 still missing as of November 1, per report of the MILG-READi.
