COTABATO CITY — The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) held a groundbreaking ceremony on April 06, 2025, for the construction of a Covered Court with a stage in Carmen, Special Geographical Area (SGA).
This new infrastructure project is funded under the Transition Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2024, with support from Member of Parliament (MP) Mohagher M. Iqbal.
With a total budget of Php4,377,265.74, this initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to provide learners with conducive learning environment that will support their growth and success.
Meanwhile, the MBHTE delivered and distributed on March 19, various school devices and supplies to the 45 schools in the Schools Division Office of Cotabato City.
These schools have received essential supplies, including wall clocks, printers, ceiling fans, and computer desktop. While 25 schools both in elementary and secondary will receive a projector.
The distribution aims to equip schools with essential devices that will improve both the quality of education and the day-to-day functioning of school facilities.

Still with MBHTE, its Access to Higher and Modern Education (AHME), which also could mean Al-Haj Murad Ebrahim, the former BARMM chief minister, is opening its doors for the 6th Cohort!
For the past six years, the MBHTE have been helping students move closer to their dreams by providing access to quality higher and modern education.

The Bangsamoro region, established in 2018 by the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) to implement the 2014 Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), is made up of the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, and Tawi-Tawi, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi, as well as the Special Geographic Area’s (SGA) 63 barangays or villages that voted “Yes” in a plebiscite in February 2019 to be under the BARMM jurisdiction.
According to the Philippine Atlas BARMM has 4,404,288 people. It has 116 municipalities: Basilan, 11 municipalities; Lanao del Sur, 39; undivided Maguindanao, 36; Sulu, 19; and Tawi-Tawi, 11. Its component cities are Cotabato (the regional center and capital) in Maguindanao; Lamitan in Basilan; and Marawi in Lanao del Sur. (✓)
