COTABATO CITY — The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) congratulates ππππ‘ππ§ πππ²π§π π . ππ«π’π¬ππ¨π§ from Maguindanao del Norte for making history as the first πππ πππππ graduate from Yale University, United States, on a full scholarship program.
Mr. Ariston earned dual degrees in Bachelor of Science in Physics and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He was also awarded the prestigious Howard L. Shultz Prize, which is given to students who exemplify excellence and inventiveness, reflecting the brilliance of Professor Shultz.
In addition to his academic achievements, Mr. Ariston brought great honor to the country by winning a silver medal in the International Earth Science Olympiad held in Daegu, South Korea, and a bronze medal in the 2020 International Chemistry Olympiad in Istanbul, Turkey.
Once again, the Ministry extends its heartfelt congratulations and pride. May Nathanβs journey inspires countless Bangsamoro youth to pursue excellence, break barriers, and dream beyond limits.
The Bangsamoro region, established in 2018 by the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) to implement the 2014 Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), is made up of the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, and Tawi-Tawi, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi, as well as the Special Geographic Areaβs (SGA) 63 barangays or villages — now eight new municipalities — that voted βYesβ in a plebiscite in February 2019 to be under the BARMM jurisdiction.
According to the Philippine Atlas BARMM has 4,404,288 people. It has 116 municipalities: Basilan, 11 municipalities; Lanao del Sur, 39; undivided Maguindanao, 36; Sulu, 19; and Tawi-Tawi, 11. Its component cities are Cotabato (the regional center and capital) in Maguindanao; Lamitan in Basilan; and Marawi in Lanao del Sur. (β)
