SITANGKAI, Tawi-Tawi — A total of 343 completers from six elementary schools joined in the 24th joint closing excercises held today, April 1, at the Haji Ahaja Canon Sports Complex, Sitangkai Municipality, Tawi-Tawi.
The completers were from Laud Sitangkai Elementary School, Laud Sitangkai Annex, Datu Halun Central Elementary School, Abdel Mustafa Kong Ahaja Elementary School, Panglima Alari Elementary School, and Datu Alamia Elementary School.
In his message for the graduates, Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal, head of the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) of the Bangsamoro Government, underscored the value of learning, humility, and the people who supported and contrbuted to their growth.
“Huwag kayong matakot magtanong, humingi ng gabay, at matuto mula sa iba. Ang tagumpay ay hindi lamang personal na tagumpay. Ito ay bunga ng sama-samang suporta at paniniwala ng mga taong nakapaligid sa inyo. At sa bawat mararating ninyo, dalhin ninyo ang kababaang-loob na patuloy pang matuto at tumulong naman sa iba,” he said.

The ceremony highlighted the achievements of the learners and recognized their hard work, perseverance, and dedication throughout the academic year.
Established in 2018 by the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) to implement the 2014 CAB, the Bangsamoro region is made up of the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, and Tawi-Tawi, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi, as well as the Special Geographic Area’s (SGA) 63 barangays or villages — now eight new municipalities — that voted “Yes” in a plebiscite in February 2019 to be under the BARMM jurisdiction.
