TAGUIG CITY — In line with the upcoming launch of the “911TESDA” program later this month, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) invites holders of National Certificates (NCs) of in-demand tech-voc (technical-vocational) qualifications to register on the website.
911TESDA is a free web-based linking program, that aims to provide employment opportunities for certified TVET (technical-vocational education and training) graduates and workers, at the same time provide individuals, households and enterprises better access to different services such as home improvements and repairs, transport and logistics and health and wellness offered by partner digital/online service platforms (D/OSPs).
The program does not recruit or place workers to job vacancies but links them to partner D/OSPs.
Currently, 911TESDA is in need of 11,425 certified workers (CWs). To fill the demand, online registration in http://www.911tesda.ph is now open to all CWs with valid NCs who are willing to work, whether full-time or part-time, in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, where the program is initially operational.
Certified TVET graduates and workers from 75 TVET qualifications/courses can apply to 76 services/job titles identified by partner D/OSPs. The services/job titles include air conditioner cleaners, carpenters, housekeepers, massage therapists, and plumbers, among others. The complete list of qualifications/courses can be found on the 911TESDA website.
Interested applicants can sign up with their email addresses and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in compliance with the Data Privacy Act where they will be informed of other details of the program.
Afterwards, they will be directed to build their profile to complete the registration. The fields for the complete name, birthday, place of birth, present address, and preferred type of job opportunity and location of work must be filled up.
They will need to add their NC/qualification, for system verification. Once they have completed the registration, they will need to wait for the D/OSP to contact them for the on-boarding process.
911TESDA, as Secretary Isidro “Sid” Lapeña previously mentioned, is one of the programs he is pushing, to extend the services of the Agency to the public, especially those in the lower strata of society, echoing the slogan under his administration, TESDA Abot Lahat.
