SKYWORTH of Shenzhen, China, is the Official Television Partner of this year’s 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
Executives of Skyworth, known as “leading supplier of uniquely advanced and affordable technology solutions,” formally announced this on Thursday, September 26, in Makati City.
Present during the announcement included Skyworth executives Ronald So, overseas marketing director; Martin Han, general manager; Ben Yuoankee, deputy general manager; and Johnny Yi, operations director.
The officials emphasized Skyworth’s move from a strategy of localized marketing to regional marketing as it focuses in Southeast Asia.
One sign of this strategy move to the region is the presence of its biggest manufacturing site in Indonesia.
Its being the Official TV Partner of the 2019 SEA Games is also in line with the ASEAN-focused strategy, which should give Skyworth a lot of business opportunities, what with the hundreds of millions of the region’s population.
Figures from Statista.com showed ASEAN’s 10 member countries have a combined population of an estimated 647.45 million in 2018 — Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
During the launch Skyworth paraded its new innovative products, including Smart and Android TV sets leveraging Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), refrigerators, and washing machines.
The officials surprised the reporters and the bloggers invited to the event after they revealed that their 65″ UB7 Series, Premium 4K Android TV, and 55″ UB5 Series, Premium 4K Smart+ TV packed with new features like Infinity Screen are selling only for Php36,990 and Php24,990, respectively.
Also incorporated in the modern-day digital TV sets are the three keys to innovation, such as design, picture quality, and smart solutions.
“None of our competitors have the same extensive (offerings),” they boasted. “Skyworth is the first to introduce OLED AI TV in the Philippines.”
In China, the company has climbed to the top 10 and top 20 in the world.
The 30th SEA Games has given Skyworth an excellent vehicle to communicate its technologically-advanced innovative products to customers.4K
It “gives Filipinos the opportunity to level up their experience of the biennial multi-sport event.”
That’s just as well be because Filipinos have this passion for sports.
“Just like Filipinos, sport has always been embedded in Skyworth’s DNA. And we are committed to giving Filipinos the best viewing experiences of the 2019 SEA Games, Through immersive viewing experiences, we want to create opportunities for Filipinos to come together and celebrate their love of sports,” Yuoankee said.
Meanwhile, starting on October 1 the company will run a “Big TV Nationwide Promo” until December 31, 2019, during which it will mark down its 55″ and 65″ 4K TV sets in all stores nationwide.
On October 28, Skyworth will raffle off to owners of its TV sets the chance to take home a 55XA9000, the flagship TV set.
