The dates belong to Shopee for its big events coming up — its Big Christmas TV Special and Big Christmas Sale on November 10 and 11, respectively.
Shopee announced the two grand events on November 5 at Grand Hyatt Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila, with a host of big-name entertainers, the likes of singer-song writer/composer Jose Mari Chan, GMA7’s Alden Richards, Julie Ann San Jose, and Gabbi Garcia.
Of course, Shopee is known to be the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, building a reputation as a go-to-online shopping portal.
The TV special will serve as a live countdown for the Big Christmas Sale, appropriately dubbed 11-11, meaning November 11.
Richards and Garcia each rendered a song for the attendees — journalists and bloggers and other guests — while Chan and San Jose did a duet to the pleasure of an enthralled audience.
Shopee Philippines Associate Director Martin Yu noted how anticipated is the advent of the Yuletide season by Filipinos.
He said the TV show is Shopee’s way of ringing in the coming holiday.
“Christmas is an important holiday for Filipinos, and we are thrilled to kickstart the celebrations in the biggest way possible with our very first televised Christmas concernt, the Shopee 11.11 Big Christmas TV Special.
“With this, we hope to deepen engagement with our users by bringing them closer to their favorite stars and brands, and also to foster the festive spirit in the Philippines. We invite everyone to join in the excitement on 10 November as we count down together to our 11.11 Big Christmas Sale,” he said.
The TV special/countdown to the finale of the Shopee 11.11 Big Christmas Sale will feature live performances by the country’s top celebrities. It will also debut the online shoppers paradise’s latest Christmas jingle which Chan exclusively composed for the 2019 festival season.
Shopee’s TV special will have Richards, Maine Mendoza, and Heart Evangelista performing all-time favorite Christmas songs; special guest appearances by Garcia, Lani Misalucha, San Jose, and many more homegrown stars.
As the show rolls on, viewers are in for a treat and a chance to score amazing deals and vouchers and discounts of up to 70% from leading brands, like Unilever, Pampers, Maybelline, Anker, and Perfetti van Melle.
On the other hand, the Big Christmas Sale that ends on November 11 will also feature exciting promotions, such as an all-day sitewide free shipping with Php0.00 minimum spend, up to 90% off deals during the sale’s finale for products such as Xiaomi Redmi 7 and Redmi 7A.
Consumers will have the chance to score with the HUG 32″ LED TV LT32, and the Rapoo V600 Gamepad XB369 for ONLY Php11!, Shopee said in a statement.
Other highlights of the 11.11 Big Christmas Sale are 12-hour non-stop live stream that offers challenges and vouchers during the Shopee Live Session from 12 noon to 12 midnight, and five iPhone 11 giveaways; exciting giveaways via Shopee Shake and Shopee Catch; and special promotions from industry players (among them, Huawei, Safeguard, Watsons), when using Metrobank card for payment.
