Global BPO Sitel’s premiere training and development program to be made available to students

MANILA – Sitel Group®, a global leader in end-to-end customer experience (CX) products and solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pateros Technological College (PTC) to
provide its world-class brand of business outsourcing and communication training to PTC students.
The program will be made available to over 1,000 first and second-year students from 28 classes across the various disciplines in the college.
“The partnership between Sitel® Academy and Pateros Technological College seeks to provide the school with important skills needed not just for BPO, but also for most jobs that rely on strong communication and technical skills,” said Fatima Tigas, senior manager, Sitel Academy.
“Through this partnership Sitel Academy will be reaching more than 300 students every semester and providing a wide range of skills-building modules.”
Sitel Academy has taken bold steps to expand its footprint and reach more students both in Metro Manila and Sitel’s provincial locations, in line with the company’s “Learn, Lead & Grow with the Sitel Barkada” employee promise. In 2020 the program expanded to provide online training and webinars in light of the global health pandemic. The programs help develop student competencies to meet the
demands of the quickly growing and evolving BPO job market and nurture a robust pool of potential future CX professionals.
As provided in the memorandum, Sitel will provide PTC students with Sitel Academy online training programs and modules that may be accessed through Triboo, Sitel’s Learning Management System. The Create Connection. Value Conversation.
Sitel Academy team will also work closely with PTC in creating instructional materials suitable for its Information and Communication Technology curriculum.
The MOU signing was held at PTC in Metro Manila with College President Dr. Analiza Arcega, VP for Admin and Finance Prof. Rolando Baylon, and College Secretary Prof. Catalina Yolanda Banaobra. Sitel was represented by Tigas and Learning specialist Eliane Lansigan. (✓)
