(SDN) — Women empowerment at its highest level!
It took a woman to put the Philippines in the gold map of the Olympics after weightlifter HIDILYN DIAZ won today, July 26, in the 55kg category of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Two things. Though perhaps inconsequential.

It’s the time of the pandemic (1) and it’s the last State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA) of soon-to-be outgoing President Rodrigo R. Duterte (2). Next presidential election is in May 2022.
The Philippines Olympics Golden Girl had almost a total eclipsed of Duterte in the hearts and minds of the 109 million Filipinos, and in the country’s newspapers.
What a feat for a hundred years.
Philippine male Olympians can only achieved a silver middle in the Olympics, the first by Anthony Villanueva and second by Onyok Velasco, both in boxing.
HIDILYN DIAZ also won a silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Perhaps the gold medal had been in the works for the gritty Filipina.
Now, a FEMALE athlete quenched Filipinos’ thirst for an Olympic gold.
For her sterling achievement for a nation in hunger for a good news she will be an instant millionaire as a deluge of good fortune has started flooding her way, over Php35 million plus a condominium unit in Eastwood City, Quezon City, a gift from tycoon Dr. Andrew Tan’s Megaworld establishment.
