(SDN) — IT IS a massively big day today, December 18, 2021, in the Arab State of Qatar.
This day, a Saturday, the Gulf nation under the leadership of His Highness Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani is celebrating its National Day, which goes back to Qatar’s unification in 1878.
Among the highlights of the occasion in Doha, the capital, include a National Parade, fireworks, sales with big discounts, food concoctions in hotels and restaurants, selling of National Day souvenirs, and many other activities.
To commemorate the occasion in Manila, Qatari Ambassador to the Philippines Ali Ahmad Ibrahim Al-Malki delivered a speech via a video sent to SDN — Science and Digital News.

Here’s the ambassador’s speech:
Note that embassies in the Philippines have suspended in-person celebration of their National Day because of the global pandemic of Covid-19 now going to its third year.
But surely the spirit of the day and its message are not lose on every nation’s citizens.
