Headed by Minister Mohagher Iqbal, the MBHTE is one of the line agencies of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The MBHTE turned over a 1-storey school building with one classroom costing Php1,050,414.09 to the 🏫 Datu Koguia Utto Elementary School (Division II) and a Php438,850.36 Submersible Pump with Hose, Funds came from the Contingent Fund 2020.

The education ministry also provided and turned over Rainwater Collector with Water Hand Pump worth Php159,233.30 to the Macasampen Elementary School.

For Division I the MBHTE built a 1-storey with two-classroom flagship school building worth Php4..110,553.93 for 🏫 Tariken Elementary School (Annex).

For this construction project, the MBHTE sourced the funding from the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF). The MBHTE’s Education Facilities Section implemented the projects.

Iqbal, since he assumed the mantle of the MBHTE, has been doubling time to address the education needs and concerns of constituents of the BARMM, which had been neglected in past administrations of the defunct Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The Bangsamoro region is made up Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi provinces, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi as well as 63 villages designated as Special Geographic Area (SGA) in North Cotabato province (which itself is not part of the region).

BARMM constituents may expect the MBHTE to provide more school building projects in their respective localities as well as improve existing schools. — EKU (✓)
