Bangsamoro Education Ministry Hiring Teacher I and Lamitan Schools Division Superintendent

(SDN) April 20 — More teachers are needed in the Bangsamoro region, a new political entity being operated via a parliamentary government.

Comprising the Bangsamoro NPE are Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi provinces, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi as well as 63 villages designated as Special Geographic Area (SGA) in North Cotabato province (which itself is not part of BARMM).

The BARMM was birthed by the 2014 Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) and is being implemented on the ground through the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL).

One of the sorely needed human resources in the region are teachers, this time Teacher 1, according to the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) headed by Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal.

To carry this need, the education minister of the BARMM issued Regional Memorandum 390, Series of 2022, titled “Call for Submissions of Applications for Teacher I and Lamitan Schools Division Superintendent”.

He addressed his memorandum to schools division superintendents of Maguindanao I, Maguindanao II, Cotabato City, Special Geographic Areas (SGAs), Basilan, and Lamitan City.

“In view of the continuous hiring process in the divisions under the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), through the Human Resource Management Office, the MBHTE hereby announces that the Ministry is NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS for the position of Teacher I under the schools divisions of Maguindanao I, Maguindanao II, Cotabato City, Special Geographic Areas (SGAs), Basilan, and Lamitan City,” the memorandum reads.

Another hiring the MBHTE is looking for is for the position of schools division superintendent for Lamitan City, with applicants asked to submit documents similar to requirements for promotion.

Minister Iqbal’s memorandum also emphasized that applicants for the teaching position are required to submit the following requirements at the MBHTE Regional Office — Human Resource Management Division:

  •  Letter of Intent addressed to “Hon. Mohagher M. Iqbal, Minister, Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), Cotabato Cit
  • ToR (CAV)
  • Birth Certificate (NSO)
  • Marriage Contract (if married) NSO
  • PRC License (authenticated)
  • Certificate of Good Standing
  • Latest PDS (3 sets)
  • Master’s Units (if available)
  • Certificate of Employment (previous

The memorandum set the deadline for submission of applications, such as April 22 for Maguindanao I and Maguindanao II, April 25 for Cotabato City and SGAs, and April 28 for Basilan and Lamitan City. (/)
