(SDN) — The humanitarian arm and rescue body of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) headed by Minister Naguib G. Sinarimbo aided flooded barangays (villages) in Maguindanao province.
This is gleaned from a report made by the Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (MILG-READi), which has been consistently performing its duties in times of calamities and other emergency situations in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Its beneficiary are 10 barangays (villages) in the municipality of Guindulungan, Maguindanao, which virtually sunk from flood waters recently. Continuous rain submerged the Guindulungan communities.
The MILG noted the statement of Guindulungan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) through Mahmod M/ Tulino that the seemingly unending downpour started on April 26, resulting in the floods that covered the whole municipality.
On April 30, 2022, READi responders brought assistance with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) to the flooded villages where more than 2,000 residents were waiting for help from the BARMM government.

The MILG emphasized that whoever needs the services of the Bangsamoro READi Rescue Team may only coordinate with the following hotlines, such as (0966) 301 8777 for Globe and (0939) 339 5221 for Smart.
