Lucky applicants to join Bangsamoro region’s more or less 29,000 pool of educators

COTABATO CITY (SDN) — Teaching is a noble profession. Teachers help in a big way in molding the minds of the youth.
If you are from this vital sector of society the Bangsamoro government’s Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) headed by Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal, you are in for a potential employment.
He issued MBHTE Regional Memorandum No. 788, Series of 2022, dated July 12 for the hiring.
Iqbal, a big name with many tasks in the Mindanao peace process, called on applications for Teacher I and Instructor I who will be assigned to teach in any of the six higher education institutions (HEIs) which the MBHTE is supervising.
He said interested individuals have until July 25 to submit their applications to the education ministry.
The MBHTE’s Human Resource Management Division announced the hiring on July 18, at the same time giving the list of requirements from applicants.
These are the following, to wit:
- Updated Personal Data Sheets (PDS) in 3 sets, with Intent Letter stating your preferred school
- Authenticated Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) License (3 copies, photocopies)
- Transcript of Records (photocopy)
- Birth Certificate (photocopy)
- Marriage Contract (if married, photocopy)
- Certificate of Training (if available, photocopy)
- Master’s Units (if available, photocopy
- Certificate of Employment (previous employment, if available)
The education minister said applications should be submitted to the MBHTE Regional Office through the Office for Directorate General for Higher Education on or before July 25.
There will be interviews of the applicants to be scheduled by the MBHTE and the venue to be announced later.
Those lucky to be hired will join the BARMM pool of teachers now currently numbering around 29,000, said Iqbal.
Comprising the Bangsamoro region’s territory, its government parliamentary in form but still part of the Philippine Republic, are the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi, as well as the Special Geographic Area (SGA) made up of 63 barangays or villages in North Cotabato that opted to be under BARMM jurisdiction during the plebiscites in January and February 2019. North Cotabato itself is not part of the region.
The BARMM was created by the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) to implement the 2014 Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) peace treaty between the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). (✓)
