ILOILO CITY – At least 18 members of the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) top management conducted on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 a three-day Quality Management System (QMS) Executive Sessions held in this city.
The establishment of an integrated system of quality education in Bangsamoro provides an effective education framework and efficient delivery of education services in the region. Quality Management Framework (QMF) and Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) for the MBHTE, together with its four subsectors, are essential in strengthening the ministry’s capability to implement more inclusive, effective, and relevant education reforms and services in the region.

MBHTE is one of the primary line agencies of the Bangsamoro government.
With the support from the Australia in The Philippines through the Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao, the three-day activity aims to provide a basic understanding and appreciation of the QMS and bring awareness of the importance of officials’ executive and management function in the development and implementation of quality services.
The sessions also aimed to co-develop an MBHTE Quality Policy and ensure continuity of the best practices in the actual implementation of QMS as “One MBHTE”.

Education officials of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and participants of the activity have an opportunity to learn from the Department of Education (DepEd) Region 6 – Western Visayas and West Visayas State University (WVSU) in the integration of quality management in Basic Education, including Senior High School and Higher Education.
The development of the QMF and the QAF helps establish minimum standards according to the strategic direction of the MBHTE and shall conform to the minimum standards set by the Philippine Government. (via MBHTE Media)
