(SDN) — The leadership of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) has put Administrative Service Director Abdullah “Abel” S. Macarimpas, again, in his rightful place: as chairman of the NCMF-Promotion and Selection Board.
Bureau of External Relations (NCMF-BER) Director Dr. Dimapuno Alonto Datu-Ramos announced this last week, as he felicitated his fellow director for the designation.
“Congratulations to the Administrative Service Director Abel Macarimpas for his designation as Chairman of the NCMF-Promotion and Selection Board,” he said.
Datu-Ramos said this development was revealed during the Commission’s Expanded Management Committee (ManCom) meeting on September 20 at the Central Office in Quezon City.
“(Director Macarimpas) has been in the organization for decades, serving both the employees and the communities selflessly. Good luck in all your plans; I know you can succeed because all the NCMF personnel support you,” the NCMF-BER director said.
Macarimpas welcomed his designation, saying it’s “only lawful”.

Meanwhile, the regional directors of the NCMF has formed themselves into an organization, apparently to get their acts together and become a more forceful entity for the benefit of their respective constituents.

Datu-Ramos said the NCMF Regional Director Association officers are president, Datu Mama “Junie” S. Sinsuat, Jr., CESO III, NCMF- NCMF-SOCCSKSARGEN; vice president, Onasis O. Balt, NCMF-Visayas; secretary, Atty. Bai Raihanah Sarah T. Macarimpas-Pacasum, NCMF-North Luzon; and treasurer, Abdullah P. Masorong, Jr., CESE, NCMF-Northern Mindanao.
As this developed, the 17 regional offices of the NCMF will play a key role in the celebration of the 2022 National Peace Consciousness Month, which the Philippines observes every September.
On September 24, the NCMF Central Office under Secretary/CEO Gene A. Mamondiong will stage a Peace Caravan that will pass through the streets of Metro Manila cities.
Director Abel Macarimpas said the regional offices of the Commission will likewise hold their own Peace Caravan in solidarity with the national government and also show that Islam means peace and that Muslims are peaceful and law-abiding as their religion teaches. (✓)
