(SDN) — On January 31, 2023, the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) through its Planning Services conducted the First National Leaders’ Development Summit in Pasay City, Metro Manila.

To achieve the summit’s goals, the NCMF headed by Secretary/CEO Guiling “Gene” A. Mamondiong gathered “the best in the sectors of legislatures, academe, religious, business, and private sector, national and local government units (LGUs) and executives of agencies, the security sector and civil society organizations” for their inputs on the summit’s goal.

The summit aimed “to develop programs to help Muslims in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao establish a resilient Muslim community, wherein every Muslim family is empowered, with productive and sustainable livelihood, a family free from harm and feeling safe, and freely exercising its faith without reservation,” said NCMF Planning Services Director Haidee V. Ampatuan, MNSA.
