Constructing school buildings in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is wiithin the ambit of the Ministry Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), one of the BARMM’s primary organs of governance.

Headed by Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal, the education ministry turned over completed school buildings projects worth a total of Php7,439,230.56 to the local government unit (LGU) of the Municipality of Datu Salibo, Maguindanao I Division.

To withstand, hopefully, the test of time, the MBHTE had the school buildings built to be calamity-resilient. MBHTE funded the construction projects through its 2018 Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF) to the tune of Php4,877,715.99 at Ganoy Primary School (GPS) and the second one at Tee Primary School (TPS) for the cost of Php2,561,514.57.
Iqbal, also a Member of Parliament of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA), has time and again assured Bangsamoro population across the region of implementing educational reforms, including the construction of school buildings, addressing the needs of teachers as well as students.

According to the Philippine Atlas has 4,404,288 people. It has 116 municipalities: Basilan, 11 municipalities; Lanao del Sur, 39; Maguindanao, 36; Sulu, 19; and Tawi-Tawi, 11. Its component cities are Cotabato (the regional center and capital) in Maguindanao; Lamitan in Basilan; and Marawi in Lanao del Sur. — EDD K. USMAN/with reports from MBHTE (✓)
