COTABATO CITY — The Lamitan City Schools Division, in collaboration with MBHTE-BARMM, has begun distributing supplies for the School-Based Feeding Program. Aimed at assisting 10,000 beneficiaries, particularly severely wasted and wasted learners from kindergarten to grade 6 across 10 recipient schools, the program provides essential items such as iron-fortified rice, coco crunch, milk, and monggo beans.
MBHTE, of the Bangsamoro government’s 15 primary ministries, stands for Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education headed by Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal. Of course, BARMM is Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The distributed items underwent inspection by the School-Based Feeding Program Technical Working Group (SBFP TWG) to ensure their quality and suitability for the beneficiaries. The SBFP TWG has committed to closely monitoring the program’s implementation at each recipient school.
Parents and learners have positive feedback for the initiative as they expressed gratitude to MBHTE, particularly to Iqbal, for his support. Acknowledgments were extended to the Health and Nutrition section in MBHTE for their role in facilitating the program.
