COTABATO CITY — In line with Proclamation No. 968, Series of 2015, and in celebration of the 2025 National Literature Month with the theme, “Sikad Panitikan: Kultura at Panitikan ng Kaunlaran,” the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) proudly joins in commemorating the rich cultural heritage of the Filipinos.
Meanwhile, a total of 401 TVET (technical-vocational and education training) scholars officially joined the 2025 Bangsamoro Scholarship Program last March 16-20, 2025.
The scholars will be trained in various National Certificate (NC) II programs, including Agricultural Crops Production, Bread and Pastry Production, Carpentry, Cookery, and Welding, among others.

Sulu technical education and skills development (TESD) continues to address the needs of communities through its scholarship programs. Registered Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) are collaborating with the Provincial Office to implement the Training Induction Program (TIP), ensuring scholars are fully equipped with knowledge and skills they need.
The Bangsamoro region, established in 2018 by the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) to implement the 2014 Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), is made up of the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, and Tawi-Tawi, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi, as well as the Special Geographic Area’s (SGA) 63 barangays or villages that voted “Yes” in a plebiscite in February 2019 to be under the BARMM jurisdiction.
According to the Philippine Atlas BARMM has 4,404,288 people. It has 116 municipalities: Basilan, 11 municipalities; Lanao del Sur, 39; undivided Maguindanao, 36; Sulu, 19; and Tawi-Tawi, 11. Its component cities are Cotabato (the regional center and capital) in Maguindanao; Lamitan in Basilan; and Marawi in Lanao del Sur. (✓)
