LAKESHORE PARK, Taguig City (SDN) — On April 25, 2025, artists — painters of graffiti and murals — converged here for the third iteration in the country of what was billed as the Meeting of Styles 2025.
The first two editions were also held at the same venue overlooking the expansive Laguna de Bay along Circumferential (C) 5 Road in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, Metro Manila. More specifically at the Transformative, Lively and Caring (TLC) Park.
It was a three-day event, an art and cultural festival that brought global street phenomenon to the city.

Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano graced the opening program of the event, noting the participation of the international muralists.
Having said that, he also emphasized the importance of Nissan Philippines’ participation, hyped up by a “donation” of a Nissan sedan worth from Php1.2 million to Php1.5 million, depending on the version of its model.
The senator also told the local and international artists and guests of the transformation that Taguig’s Bonifacio Global City (BGC) had undergone from a military camp in 1989 named Camp McKinley to Fort Bonifacio as a progressive business and economic hub today with several high-rise residential and commercial buildings, skyscrapers that changed Metro Manila’s cityscape.

He said it blew his mind that Singapore was once known as a mere fishing village where some residents worked as domestic helpers in Mindanao households, but now a shining beacon of a progressive city.
Taguig City Mayor Maria Laarni “Lani” L. Cayetano, the senator’s wife, welcomed the Styles participants and guests when it came her time to speak.
“Every time this event returns to Taguig, it feels like a homecoming,” the lady mayor points out, noting this year’s event is its third in the Philippines in the same venue, “and every year it becomes more vibrant, more inclusive, more powerful and bigger.”
Lawyer Rhys Alexei Murillo, general manager at Nissan Philippines’ Compliance, Legal, Government and External Affairs, told SDN – SciTech & Digital News that they have not yet decided what to do with the car.
Whether it would be donated and put for auction, there’s no decision yet, he said.
But if it would be put for auction, Senator Cayetano hinted at his desire to join the bidding.
The senator, one of the two Cayetanos in the Senate, said he preferred it would not be for too high a price, but would also be OK with a high price so it could be put to good use. He said a low price also be good.
Filipino graffiti mural artist Zanzibar Abonado, Jr. painted the Nissan car which was displayed at the TLC Park.
This year’s Meeting of Styles seen as an event that’s one-of-a-kind featured large-scale murals painted by Filipino and international graffiti artists, immersive art zones, pop-up gallery exhibits, and vibrant music performances delivered by top local acts that showcased both homegrown talent and global creativity.
In an announcement the local government’s Public Information Office (PIO), it pointed out that, “Beyond the murals, the celebration comes alive with beats and rhythm as top local musicians take the stage, setting the vibe with live performances that match the energy and spirit of the art all around.”
And the good thing is that the wide and scenic expanse of TLC Park served as the canvas and stage for the participating artists and audiences alike, which transformed it into a lively venue where creativity knows no bounds. (/)
