NCMF-NCR under RD Jun Datu Ramos Pays Tribute to its Partners and Allies in the Inaugural ‘Bantugan’ Stakeholders’ Recognition Ceremony

BINONDO, Manila, December 10, 2025 — The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos-National Capital Region (NCMF-NCR) headed by Regional Director Dr. Dimapuno A. Datu-Ramos, Jr. on December 1 held its inaugural Stakeholders’ Recognition Ceremony, aptly entitled “Bantugan,” paying tribute to its partners and allies in implementing is mandate.

Conducted at the Lucky Chinatown Hotel, City of Manila, Metro Manila, hundreds showed up for the lively and colorful affair. Attendees came from the various partners of the NCR Regional Office, spanning from national government agencies, local government units, to NGOs (non-government organizations), and community organizations.

Keynote Speaker was the halal tourism advocate of the Department of Tourism (DOT) Undersecretary Myra Valderrosa-Abubakar, while NCMF Secretary Sabuddin N. Abdurahim was represented by Deputy Executive Director Atty. Jehan Jehan Lepail.

Other speakers were Department of the Interior and Local Government-(DILG-NCR) Assistant Regional Director Atty. Ana Lyn R. Baltazar-Cortez, CESO IV, representing DILG Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla, who delivered the DILG’s secretary’s message.

Other speakers who gave their messages of support included  Parañaque City Councilor Shannin Mae Olivarez, Office of the Civil Defense (OCD)-NCR Regional Director George Keyser, Director Samira Gutoc from the Office of Senator Robinhood “Abdulaziz” Padilla.

Former NCMF-NCR Regional Director Abubakar Sansaluna delivered the response from the awardees.

“Bantugan” is a Maranao term pertaining to honor bestowed upon distinguished individuals or organizations and is a proud badge of recognition for one’s exemplary work.

It was conceptualized and organized by the NCMF-NCR Office of the Regional Director under the leadership Datu-Ramos, Jr. MD, CESE. With the other Divisions, key personalities and partners were identified based on their involvement with the agency’s program, activities, and projects.

This initiative serves as a testament to the NCMF-NCR’s perseverance to apply collaborative governance concepts in all its major PAPs.

Datu Ramos voiced his gratitude to everyone who made the affair a resounding success even as he also extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the officials and staff who worked tirelessly to organize the event. (/)
