COTABATO CITY — The Schools Division Office (SDO) of the province of Maguindanao del Norte has expressed thanks to the leadership of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s (BARMM) Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) headed by Education Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal.
Here’s what the SDO of the province, one of the component areas of the Bangsamoro region said in their statement of thanks.

𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙄𝙦𝙗𝙖𝙡’𝙨 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥, 𝙬𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨. 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨:
1. Access to Quality Education:
a. School Feeding Program: Provided nutritious meals to thousands of learners across priority schools, promoting health and focus on learning.
b. AKAP – Establishment of Learning Centers: Established learning centers in identified school-less barangays, benefiting previously unreached learners.
c. Provision of Learning Kits: Distributed learning materials to support students’ academic needs.
2. Infrastructure Development:
a. Classroom Construction and Repair: Built and renovated classrooms, improving learning environments in strategic and high-need areas.
b. Covered Courts and Fencing: Provided support to learning facilities and secured school boundaries.
3. Teacher Support and Development:
a. Continuous Teaching Hiring and Promotion: Prioritized the recruitment of highly qualified educators to achieve the ideal student (learner)-teacher ratio.
b. Para-Teachers: Deployed para-teachers to support learning needs.

4. Curriculum and Resources:
a. Standard Madrasa Curriculum: Institutionalized standard curriculum for madrasa education.
b. Basic Education Curriculum Contextualization Framework: Developed Bangsamoro context-relevant curriculum.
c. IPEd Contextualization: Adapted teaching-learning resources for inclusive education.
5. Support for Learners and Institutions:
a. Provision of Textbooks and ICT Equipment: Distributed essential resources for learning.
b. Dental Kits and Basic Meds: Supported health and wellness initiatives.
c. Reopening of Institutions: Successfully reopened temporarily closed institutions, restoring access to education for learners in affected communities.
d. Integrated Institutions: Established integrated institutions for holistic learning (holistic approach—aiming to produce well-rounded learners)
6. Programs and Initiatives:
a. 5Bs Program for Literacy and Numeracy: Implemented literacy and numeracy programs.
b. Palaro and School Press Implemented national institutionalized programs enhancing athletic opportunities for learners and provided essential sports equipment , and actively supported school journalism initiatives
c. Series of Enhancements: Conducted capacity-building programs for educators, supervisors, and stakeholders.
These accomplishments underscore Minister Mohagher Iqbal’s unwavering commitment to ensuring equitable and quality education for every child in BARMM, embodying the core principle of “No Child Left Behind.”
