CAMP DARAPANAN, Maguindanao del Norte, March 1, 2026 / 11 Ramadan 1447 AH) — The Chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front Central Committee (MILF-CC) and President of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) Al Haj Murad Ebrahim spearheaded the historic launching on Saturday, February 28, of the “MILF Leader’s Handbook” at the MILF-CC Gymnasium, marking a decisive step in strengthening organizational discipline, unity, and direction.
Chairman Murad reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to unity in structure and clarity in purpose, underscoring the continuing struggle for the Bangsamoro’s right to self-determination as he emphasized that the ultimate objective remains the establishment of a homeland where Lillahi Kalimatillah prevails, where the word of Allah (SWT) is upheld and justice is implemented in the society.
The MILF Leader’s Handbook, crafted by the Office of the First Vice Chairman Mohagher M. Iqbal, stands as the unified standard of conduct and responsibility for all members, serving as an authoritative guide that defines leadership ethics, operational discipline, accountability, and collective duty, while also functioning as a decisive blueprint for unity, strategic direction, and institutional coherence — mandating all officers and committee heads to internalize and faithfully implement its principles to strengthen cohesive leadership and firmly advance the Bangsamoro struggle toward lasting peace and stability in the Bangsamoro Homeland.

The Chairman explained that the handbook was established to clearly define the responsibilities of leaders and officers at every level as every member, he stressed, carries a duty to contribute meaningfully to the fulfillment of the organization’s objectives, discipline, clarity of roles, and adherence to collective decisions are indispensable in this stage of the struggle.
Recalling the movement’s history, Chairman Al-Haj Murad reflected that many leaders once served under the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), which carried nationalist aspirations, however, recognizing that Islam is a complete way of life encompassing governance, morality, and social order the leadership, under Sheikh Salamat Hashim, established the MILF on an Islamic foundation where the struggle, he emphasized, is not only for dunya (this world) but also for the akhirah (hereafter).
As the Bangsamoro enters a new era, the message from Camp Darapanan resounded with clarity: the struggle continues organized, disciplined, and guided by principle, through unity, faith, and steadfast adherence to its objectives, the MILF remains committed to advancing the cause of justice, peace, and self-determination for the Bangsamoro people.
