MANILA, April 5, 2026 (SDN) — Filipinos planning to perform Umrah, the minor Hajj, anytime soon must be extra careful to avoid being scammed.
Intending Hajj or Umrah pilgrims must always be vigilant since there are travel agencies not accredited by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which offer Umrah packages. Problem is, if a travel agency is not Saudi-accredited, then you might become victims of scam — your hard earned money going to nothing.
Remember the case of hundreds of prospective pilgrims in Region IX who planned to perform pilgrimage last year, but instead were scammed of their money? Don’t let it happen to you!
Good thing is that the Hajj and Umrah ministry of the Kingdom had already accredited some travel agencies for Hajj and Umrah.
