COTABATO CITY — With determination, discipline, and strong commitment, student-athletes from the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) delivered a commendable performance in the recently concluded 2026 Palarong Pambansa, held in Agusan del Sur, Northern Mindanao, on May 24 to 31.
The BARMM delegation garnered a total of 12 medals – two (2) gold, three (3) silver, and seven (7) bronze – in the Regular Sports, Para Games, and Demo Sports categories.
Throughout the week-long national sporting event, BARMM athletes showcased their exceptional talent, perseverance, and sportsmanship, earning recognition and bringing pride to the Bangsamoro region.

The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), presently headed by BARMM Chief Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua, together with the entire Bangsamoro community, commends these young athletes for their notable achievements. Their success reflects the growing strength of sports development in the region and highlights the potential of Bangsamoro youth to excel on the national stage.
Next year’s Palarong Pambansa will be held in Quezon City, where young athletes will once again compete in the country’s premier sporting event. (/)
