EWC opportunities for study and scholarships

Dear East-West Center Alumni,

Aloha and warm greetings from Honolulu!

We invite you to please assist us in spreading the word in your community about East-West Center scholarships for graduate study at the University of Hawaii. Please circulate to local universities and through your social media networks.

The Center has the following major scholarship opportunities available for the 2019-2020 academic year:

December 1 Deadline:

EWC Graduate Degree Fellowships: Two years of support for Master’s or PhD study in any field. Open to all countries in EWC region, including the United States. Support includes tuition, fees, housing, book allowance, health insurance and modest stipend. Up to 20 Fellowships available.

Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program:

Two years of support for Master’s study in approved fields. Open to citizens of ADB member countries in Asia and the Pacific Islands. Support includes tuition, fees, housing, book allowance, health insurance, modest stipend and RT airfare from home country to Honolulu.  Three scholarships available.

February 1 Deadline:

United States South Pacific Scholarship Program funded by US State Department: 

Support for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree study in approved fields.

Open to citizens of select South Pacific countries. Support includes tuition, fees, housing, book allowance, health insurance, modest stipend and RT airfare from home country to Honolulu.  Three scholarships available.  Application information will be posted soon.
