On this occasion, may I gladly impart that the State of Qatar is hosting not less than 260,000 (Two hundred Sixty Thousand) Filipinos, working in various fields. The people of Qatar can attest to their efficiency and the quality of work output they provide. Our government pays great attention to the Filipino workers, providing them amicable atmosphere to enable them to show the best of their abilities.

Qatar considers Filipino workers as partners in the efforts of the state renaissance. In this regard, I wish to refer to the recent reforms undertaken by the State in the field of Labor upon the directives of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani — the Emir of the State of Qatar (May Allah bless him).

This reform was highly praised by other countries and International Organizations such as the United Nations and the International Labor Organization (ILO).

I can only reiterate my keenness to continue the efforts made by the government of the State of Qatar to strengthen and develop the current bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, especially under the presidency of His Excellency President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

I wish Allah, the Almighty, to preserve the leadership of the Philippines and its people, and to perpetuate the blessings of health, happiness and prosperity among them.

A glorious Independence Day!

Mabuhay!
