Lucky bettors on day of SONA 2021

Corporate and Planning Department Manager Agnes Salgarino Ibera of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the two punters hit Mega Lotto 6/45’s Php36-million jackpot.

She said the bettors bought their winning tickets at Lotto betting stations in Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, and Batangas City, Batangas, with their respective bets matching 6/45’s winning combination in the draw on Monday, July 26, 2021.

Perhaps inconsequential in the new instant millionaires’ luck, but July 26 marked the last and final State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA) of soon-to-be-outgoing President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

Here’s the winning combination of Monday’s Mega Lotto draw — 34 – 40 – 08 – 24 – 36 – 30 which carried the Php36,083,471 prize money. Ibera said the winners will share equally the jackpot money.

Not very lucky, still seven bettors had near miss of the jackpot, guessing correctly five of the winning numbers, giving them Php32,000 each as consolation prize.

A total of 786 bets will get Php1,000 each for four correct numbers; 14,004 will get Php30 each.
