(SDN) — DIVIDENDS of peace!
That’s what they are, the completed building projects of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG).
Under the leadership of lawyer Naguib G. Sinarimbo, the MILG has been implementating a series of construction projects in various areas of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). To name some: municipal halls, Philippine National Police (PNP) stations, barangay halls, and public markets for local government units (LGUs).
The above-mentioned structures, dividends of peace, are sprouting like, so to speak, mushroom in the Bangsamoro region’s mainland areas in the provinces of Lanao del Sur and Maguindanao, and island provinces in Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi as well as in the 63 barangays or villages designated as BARMM Special Geographic Area (SGA) in North Cotabato.
The Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) under Chief Minister Ahod Balawat “Al-Hajj Murad” Ebrahim is governing the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BAR), a parliamentary form of government for three years from 2019 to 2022, and later expanded to three more years until 2025 through Congress as President Rodrigo R. Duterte certified urgent the bill for the resetting of the first parliamentary election in the Bangsamoro.
One of the buildings have been completed in Maguindanao.

Sinarimbo, the BARMM spokesman, led the inauguration, obviously with satisfaction for the MILG and especially the beneficiary residents.
Center of government delivery of service
“We inaugurated and turned over today (November 25) the first completed 2-storey Barangay Hall building funded by this Ministry of the Bangsamoro Government located in Barangay Banubo, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

He commended the structure’s quality.
“We are impressed by the quality of workmanship and the spirit of unity displayed by the leaders of this barangay and their constituents all throughout the construction of this project. The same unity was in full display during today’s event. Impressive!”, Sinarimbo said.
“The barangay halls are intended to serve as the center of government service delivery in the lowest but most critical locus of interaction between the people and its government — that is the barangay.”
He assured the delivery by the MILG of 250 similarly designed barangay halls across the Bangsamoro region. “This, hopefully, will not only transform the landscape of our region but that of service delivery to our people. After all, these projects are dedicated to the BANGSAMORO PEOPLE.” (emphasis his own)
“I take this opportunity to thank the leadership of barangay Banubo and its people as well as my Team in the MILG and beyond. Salamat po for all the hard work!,” said Sinarimbo.
Also in November, the MILG chief signed new Memoranda of Agreements (MOA) of more construction projects in more BARMM communities. (✓)
