(SDN) — A Legislative Building will soon rise for the local government of Kabuntalan, Maguindanao.
Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) head Minister Naguib G. Sinarimbo made this sure as he signed an accord with the local government unit (LGU).

“We are constructing the Legislative Building for LGU of Kabuntalan in partnership with Mayor Salban Diocolano,” he announced after the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The MOA will ensure the project’s implementation.
Sinarimbo kicked off the infrastructure projects of the MILG for 2022 with the agreement. In 2021 the MILG had already completed at least three building projects, and many others under construction.
MILG’s building projects include municipal halls, police stations, public markets, public terminals, barangay or village halls and, now, Legislative Building.
It is expected the new year will usher in many more construction projects as the parliamentary in shape and form Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) delivers the dividends of peace through and MILG.
Sinarimbo and Diocolano signed the MOA the other day on January 5.

“The two-storey building will feature a session hall for the Sanggunian (Municipal Legislative Body) and offices for the vice mayor and the members of the Council. Consistent with our fundamental belief that Government buildings and public spaces in the Bangsamoro Region should reflect our culture and heritage, the ‘okir’, ‘panolong’ and other features are integrated into the design of this structure,” he emphasized.
“We hope this will enhance governance and service delivery of the LGU to our constituents in this municipality.”
Along with Maguindanao the others comprising the BARMM are Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi provinces, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi as well as 63 villages in North Cotabato designated as Special Geographic Area (SGA) in North Cotabato province.
The 63 villages voted in a referendum to join the Bangsamoro region. (EDD) (✓)
