(SDN) October 24, 2022 — Philippine Airlines (PAL) Spokesperson Cielo Villaluna today, Monday, warned the gullible to stay from a bogus website using PAL’s branding logos.

She made the warning after SDN — Scitech and Digital News sent her a screenshot of the site, which offers survey participants Php7,000 if they get the right choice

Once the link above the PAL image is clicked, the potential victim is led to a survey. After answering all the questions,  completing the treacherous process, the website will open to a window that asks the survey respondent to choose among a line up of digital boxes, one or more of them virtually exploding into a pile of 1,000-peso bills.

Another link opens to type one’s personal information. Once that is done, the scam rolls on.

If you engage with this, you’ll surely lose your personal information and data privacy. You will never get that phantom Php7,000 prize money. It’s simply nothing but a scam.

Villaluna warned not to engage with the bogus site because “doing so will compromise your personal information and data privacy.”

She emphasized that the bogus site is using “PAL branding logos to mislead the public.”

The online site, she added, misrepresents itself as a legitimate website that offers the gullible a chance to win prizes in cash.

Obviously, if you choose to ignore the warning issued by the Philippines flag carrier, it’s at your own risk now. (✓)
