Perennial Chief Expert J.F. Panida Tops TESDA’s 2023 National Tagsanay Award; 8 Awardees Receive Php85K in Cash

PASIG CITY, October 2, 2023 (SDN) — Secretary Dr. Suharto “Datu Teng” T. Mangudadatu, Director General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), led today, Monday, the awarding of the 2023 National Tagsanay Award.

Mangudadatu showed love to the 15 finalists of this year’s awarding event, surprising them with cash incentive each, including administrators of the regional training centers (RTCs), representing the eight RTC finalists for the national edition of Tagsanay Award.

Jovencio F. Panida, chief expert and interpreter in electrical installation maintenance (EIM), has won as overall winner of the 2023 National Tagsanay Award. He also got the Best Trainer Experience Award.

The Tagsanay Award is organized by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), an institutional event that recognizes and commends outstanding trainers of technical vocational education and training (TVET). Recipients of the award are TVET trainers from both public and private sectors.

For his feat, Panida, who’s been connected with TESDA in La Union, Region I, received a cash prize of Php25,000 and a Plaque of Recognition.

The Top 3 winners of this year’s Tagsanay Award led by Panida included Richgielle Cheynard D. Vinarao, 1st Runner-up, and Maribel L. Arellano, 2nd Runner-up. They received Php20,000, Plaque of Recognition, and Php15,000 and Plaque of Recognition, respectively. (✓)
