COTABATO CITY — The government of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is sustaining its response to the needs of the schools in the region.

Through the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), it turned on December 12, speed boats to the schools divisions offices (SDOs) of Sulu and Tawi-Tawi, two of the component areas of the Bangsamoro region.

These water vehicles, funded under the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF), are expected to be utilized for transport of Sulu and Tawi-Tawi SDO officials.

Education Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal underscored the essential components necessary for ensuring the delivery of quality education in the region, emphasizing the pivotal role of competent teachers, the availability of adequate supplies and facilities, and the imperative of maintaining peace and order within the community.

In his acceptance message, Sulu Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Kiram Irilis expressed his gratitude to the MBHTE and Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Members of Parliament (MPs) for the support and for the provision of these vehicles.

The initiative not only highlights the commitment of the MBHTE and the BTA to advancing education in the Bangsamoro region but also showcases a collaborative effort to address practical challenges faced by educational institutions.
