COTABATO CITY, March 27, 2024 (SDN) — Sen. Robinhood “Abdul Aziz” Padilla is providing Php1.2-million assistance to 400 cooperative members here in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Assistant Secretary Pendatun “Penny” B. Disimban relayed this to SDN — SciTech & Digital News.
Disimban, CDA Assistant Secretary Abdulsalam “Sam” Guinomla, and representatives of Department of Social Work and Development (DSWD)-Region XII and KooPinas CMPL Movement joined the distribution today, Wednesday, of Php3,000 each to 200 cooperative members in this city.

Disimban, who has a long experience with cooperativism and now putting it into practice, said another 200 cooperative members are scheduled to also receive soon the same amount of Php3,000 each in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur,
The CDA official said the distribution is made possible by Padilla’s funding and is being done through partnership with DSWD-Region XII, the implementer; KooPinas CMPL Movement, and CDA as facilitator.
Guinomla said the amount for each cooperative member goes a long way in helping them during the Ramadan holy month of fasting.
Disimban and Guinomla expressed their thanks and appreciation to Padilla for his kind heart and generosity.
The two CDA officials also welcomed the participation of DSWD-Region XII and KooPinas CMPL Movement, saying this is a positive activity that, hopefully, would help push cooperativism widely in the country.
According to its digital home on cyberspace, the CDA “is a proactive and responsive lead government agency for the promotion of sustained growth and full development of the Philippines cooperatives for them to become broad – based instruments of social justice, equity and balanced national progress.
