BARMM’s MBHTE Turns Over Newly Repaired School Building in Notre Dame Village National High School

COTABATO CITY — The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) under the leadership of Education Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal held a turnover ceremony on November 4, 2025, for the newly constructed one-unit, one-storey school library at Tamontaka Central Elementary School in San Jose Street, Cotabato City, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

In addition, the newly repaired classroom building at Don E. Sero Elementary School was also turned over.
Both projects, with a total cost of ₱6,929,810.50, were funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2024 (GAA 2024).

Another turnover ceremony was held on November 5, 2025, for the newly repaired school building and six classrooms at Notre Dame Village National High School and Notre Dame Village Elementary School in Cotabato City, capital of the BARMM.

With a total cost of ₱4,732,930, the project was funded under the GAAB 2024.

The repair aims to provide a safer and more conducive learning environment for students and teachers.

𝐂𝐂𝐌𝐃𝐂 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐬

Samantala, mahigit 50 trainees ng Cotabato City Manpower Development Center (CCMDC), sa pamamagitan ng Cotabato City District Office, ang masayang tumanggap ng kanilang mga starter toolkits mula sa STEP or Special Training for Employment Program noong Disyembre 5, 2025, na ginanap sa Bangsamoro Government Compound (BGC), Rosary Heights VII, Cotabato City.

Ang 50 iskolar ay nabigyan ng pagkakataong mapaunlad ang kanilang kasipagan at produktibidad sa pamamagitan ng turn-over ng kanilang Tile Setting National Competency (NC) II starter kits/toolkits. Isa ito sa mga pangunahing benepisyong hatid ng programa, bukod pa sa libreng training, assessment, at allowance na ibinibigay sa mga scholars.

Pinangunahan ang distribusyon nina: Engr. Moheden R. Saribo, MPA ang CCMDC Center Administrator, Noraya A. Andong CCDO UTPRAS Focal, at si Rafael S. Kapusan CCDO Scholarship Focal.
Patuloy ang CCMDC at CCDO sa paghahatid ng de-kalidad na pagsasanay, oportunidad, at suporta tungo sa mas maunlad na kabuhayan.

The Bangsamoro region, established in 2018 by the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) to implement the 2014 Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), is made up of the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, and Tawi-Tawi, the cities of Cotabato, Lamitan, and Marawi, as well as the Special Geographic Area’s (SGA) 63 barangays or villages — now eight new municipalities — that voted “Yes” in a plebiscite in February 2019 to be under the BARMM jurisdiction.

According to the Philippine Atlas BARMM has 4,404,288 people. It has 116 municipalities: Basilan, 11 municipalities; Lanao del Sur, 39; undivided Maguindanao, 36; Sulu, 19; and Tawi-Tawi, 11. Its component cities are Cotabato (the regional center and capital) in Maguindanao; Lamitan in Basilan; and Marawi in Lanao del Sur. (✓)
