Since two years ago, Microsoft has tweaked and rendered all its cloud solutions, in this case the old reliable Office, operational across all OS — Android, iOS, and Mac devices.
BlackBerry? Perhaps not yet.

“One of the key things that we changed a couple of years ago is making sure that all of our cloud solutions, in this case Office 2019, can actually be used across all operating systems as of today. Whether it is Android and, in this case, iOS and Mac devices,” Lim said.
He also recalled that Microsoft founder Bill Gates set the company’s mission in the beginning.
“The mission of Microsoft then was to put a PC in every home. Looking at today, I think that mission was fulfilled,” said Lim.
“Our new mission is to empower every person and every organization,” the Filipino Microsoft executive said.
And to implement this new mission, the American company transformed all its cloud solutions, in this case, Microsoft Office 2019, to a more versatile applications.

“We see that Office 2019 is now being used in Mac products and iOS products. This is really a game-changer for us,” Lim remarked.

In the Office 365 are a host of the usual products that are subscription-based software that come with the familiar Microsoft work tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive that can be used either online or on-premises and optimized for all kinds of devices.
Included in the package is a 1TB OneDrive cloud storage space also accessible on multiple devices for a 12-month subscription period.
Ishi Palapal, senior category manager for Mac Accessories at PMC, cited the Apple channel store’s and Microsoft’s joint education and information campaign (EIC) over the years.
“Microsoft has long been a key partner of Power Mac Center throughout the years, offering various consumer solutions both for Apple and Windows users alike. Our goal has always been to educate the consumer that Microsoft was not only for Windows but can equally be utilized by us, Apple users,” she said.
Prices of each package
For those interested in upgrading to the cloud-based Office 365, here are the prices, said Palapal, such as:
- Office 365 Personal, Php3,790;
- Office 365 Home, Php4,790;
- Office 365 Business Premium, Php9,900;
- Office Home & Student, Php6,990; and,
- Office Home & Business, Php17,390.
For the Personal package, it consists of a premium set of fully equipped Office applications that include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access for single user, which is ideal for students, freelancers, and other digital nomads.
Business Premium is better for businesses as it has the best tools and applications for organizations with up to 300 employees. It can also have additional licenses for a full suite of Office apps on multiple iPhones, iPads, and iMacs/MacBooks, among other features.
Home offers access for up to six users with the full Office suite and 1TB OneDrive cloud storage for each user; has ransomware detection ability for protecting digital assets from cyber-attacks.
And there is also an option to install the Classic 2019 version of Office applications through Microsoft Office 2019 and Business or Microsoft Office 2019 Home and Student which are equipped with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook installed on only one device.
