NCMF-North Luzon Delivers Relief Aid to Abra Earthquake Victims

BAGUIO CITY — The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF)-North Luzon headed by Regional Director Atty. Raihanah Sarah T. Macarimpas-Pacasum has responded to earthquake victims in Abra.

NCMF Administrative Director Abdullah “Abel” Macarimpas accompanied the the Baguio City-based NCMF-North Luzon team as they conducted relief operation for the victims.

They brought relief assistance to 62 Muslim families in the municipalities of Bangued (the capital) and Lagangilang, who were affected by the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit majority of Luzon last July 27, 2022.

The NCMF Team provided each family with relief goods, consisting of food and sanitary kits. In Lagangilang community leader Almucar Mangandog personally received the assistance for tthe residents.

According to Mangandog, there was minimal damage to the properties of the Bangued and Lagangilang residents, except for the collapsed house of one family. Nonetheless, the residents decided to camp and sleep outside their houses for safety purposes.

The NCMF-North Luzon Team also included NCMF staff Sitti Divina Roxas, Atty. Nor-ainah Daragangan, Deloraine Bernabe, and Ali Jefferson Beronio. NCMF-North Luzon officials led by Macarimpas-Pacasum andand staff. (✓)
