AL-AQSA MOSQUE, Palestinian Occupied Territories, Middle East, October 24, 2026 — Here’s a good reading of the Friday Sermon (Juma’ah Khutbah) delivered on October 23 by Sheikh Khaled Abu Juma at Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s second holiest site.

In his Khutbah, the Palestinian leader cited his people’s right to Palestine, as well as the importance of all Muslims standing by the land and the Masjidil Al-Aqsa (Al-Aqsa Mosque). He also made mention of the olive tree as harvest season in ongoing.

There are people who can’t take words, the truth (he was detained after his sermon); they are people who act WRONGLY like they own the world and humanity ows them. What an idiotic idea bereft of even an atom of truth!

So, read the sermon and be transported to Al-Aqsa Mosque, to Palestine! (SDN)

_________

In the name of Allah (Bismillah).

Praise be to Allah, who, in His wisdom, perfected all that He created and established; who drew near to His creation through His mercy; and who accepted gratitude from His creatures as a fitting return for His blessings. He commanded us to obey Him — not because He has any need of us, but for our own sake — for He forgives the sins of those who have done wrong or transgressed, and He bestows abundant gifts upon those who do good. I praise Him, both privately and openly.

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, with no partner; He has promised His servants success and happiness, provided they worship Him with sincerity.

And I bear witness that our master, our prophet, our beloved, our great leader, our guide, and the delight of our eyes — Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) — is the servant and messenger of Allah.

Through him, Allah guided His servants: He dispelled their ignorance with knowledge, removed their fear and sorrow through faith, and refined their character by means of the Quran.

May the peace, blessings, and grace of Allah be upon him, his pure family, his noble companions, and those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment — may we take them as our role models and follow in their footsteps.

To proceed: I advise you — and myself — to fear Allah, the Almighty, both in private and in public; for he who fears Allah has attained success, while he who is led by his own desires has met with loss. Keep before your eyes the words of the Almighty: “O you who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are truthful.”

Servants of Allah, the Holy Quran is the spring of the heart and the light of the intellect. Every verse carries within it a wealth of spirituality and a profound depth of faith — healing the breast and restoring tranquility to troubled hearts, hearts tossed about by feelings of anxiety, sorrow, and pain. Allah, the Almighty, says in His definitive revelation: “O you who believe! Endure, persevere, remain steadfast, and fear Allah.” “So that you may succeed.”

O you who stand firm at the frontiers (al-murabitun):

This is a direct address from Allah to you — remain steadfast in your obedience to Allah, the Almighty and Majestic.

Remain steadfast in the face of trials and tribulations; remain steadfast in upholding the truth. Cling to Allah in times of hardship and ease, in times of adversity and prosperity.

Await relief — which will come through its widest gates — with absolute certainty, and be among those who are truly patient (al-sabirin).

Allah addresses you, saying:

“Out-persevere” (wa-sabiru).

Encourage others to be patient, and let your own patience be greater than the patience of your enemies. Remain steadfast in holding your ground; endure difficult and critical situations by restraining your souls from despair, panic, and fear.

O you who are patient:

Remain steadfast.

Remain steadfast in pursuit of the promise you have been given. Stand firm against the polytheists, the misguided, and the hypocrites.

Stand firm against the enemies of Allah until they abandon their ways for your faith.

Remain steadfast, O servants of Allah, and inspire others to be patient and resilient.

Be among those who endure in the face of hardships, difficulties, the pain of trials, and the schemes of others.
“Stand firm [at your posts] and fear Allah, so that you may succeed.”

Stand firm, O servants of Allah — stand firm on your land with steadfastness, honor, and dignity.

Protect your Al-Aqsa.

Protect your holy city.

Fear Allah in all your affairs, so that you may succeed — When you meet Him tomorrow.

O servants of Allah:

This is a noble call from Allah to you, inviting you toward that which brings you goodness and righteousness in this world, and success and prosperity in the Hereafter.

Allah, the Exalted, has enjoined you to fear Him (taqwa).

If you adhere to this, He will grant you the blessing of empowerment and stewardship on the earth, and He will reward your steadfastness (ribat) —
With a generous reward.

O you who stand firm at the frontiers: Beloved of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him),

Living on our pure, sacred land — in the vicinity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque — is a divine favor and a grace bestowed upon us by Allah. It allows us to be among those who maintain ribat (steadfast presence/guardianship) in Jerusalem (Bayt al-Maqdis). Ribat is a profound act of worship and a noble means of drawing closer to Allah, the Almighty. The reward for one who remains steadfast in ribat on his land continues to accrue even after his death, lasting until the Day of Resurrection. It is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“The deeds of every deceased person are sealed [upon death], except for the one who remains in ribat for the sake of Allah; his deeds continue to grow until the Day of Resurrection, and he is protected from the trials of the grave.”

What a magnificent blessing and what a glorious glad tiding this is! We ask Allah, the Most High, the Almighty, to keep us steadfast on our land — maintaining ribat, seeking His reward, relying solely upon Him, and remaining patient — and to take our souls while we hold this intention, without us ever wavering or altering our path.

O worshippers,

Our ribat requires foundations that support its existence and strengthen our resilience. This can only be achieved by uniting our ranks and aligning our words and stances, just as we have been commanded: “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.”

Ribat, O believers, requires obedience. Strive to obey Allah, to love Him, and to love the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Observe the obligatory acts of worship at their appointed times, and perform as many voluntary acts of worship as you are able; for obedience during times of hardship and distress is most beloved to Allah and carries the greatest reward. Do not abandon the Holy Quran — it is the sustenance for the soul and the light of the heart. Commit yourselves to seeking forgiveness (istighfar) and turn frequently to Allah in repentance; for through seeking forgiveness, ranks are raised, and tranquility and mercy descend.

_________

“By the fig and the olive”

Persistently call upon your Lord in supplication (dua), for it is the believer’s weapon and his refuge in times of distress. When all other doors are closed, the door to relief remains open. Whoever is truthful with Allah in their private moments will be sustained by Him during times of hardship; whoever fills their time with obedience to Him will be protected by Him in both weakness and strength. Servants of Allah, our commitment to ribat (steadfast presence/guardianship) stems from our deep roots and our firm insistence on our right to our land (Palestine). This is the land of our forefathers — an inheritance granted by the Lord and a trust bequeathed by the Prophet. It is a duty rooted in our creed, our faith, and our religious law — a duty from which there is no escape, and which we cannot abandon or flee. We are as deeply rooted in this land as its own fig and olive trees. Through this ribat, we breathe a spirit into the very body of this place — into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque — for it binds us to our first qibla (direction of prayer) and the destination of our Prophet’s night journey (Isra’). It is an eternal bond that will endure until the Day of Resurrection, remaining forever in the deepest recesses of our hearts.

_________

“This blessed land (Palestine) is a gift from Allah to us — a right He has affirmed from above the seven heavens. To tear us away from our land would be an impossibility — as difficult as plucking the sharp, hooked thorns of the qatad plant”

There are those who are deprived, gazing upon Jerusalem from afar, their hearts crying out: “I do not know if Jerusalem is in the very center of my heart, or if my heart is in Jerusalem. Give me back my Jerusalem — and my heart!” Yes, it is beloved Jerusalem — dwelling within our hearts and souls, the gateway from earth to heaven, the place where revelation descended, the meeting point of the prophets, the land of the Isra’, the land of ribat, and the land of the Gathering and the Resurrection. Blessed are we in our ribat and our steadfastness in its environs — a state immortalized by the Holy Quran in its eternal verses, signifying purity, generosity, and sanctity until the Day of Judgment. Servants of Allah, the Prophet Ibrahim — the father of the prophets — dwelt in this land, bestowing upon it even greater honor, a higher status, and profound majesty. This occurred after his own land became too narrow for him; he resolved to migrate, turning his face toward his Lord and surrendering himself completely to Him.

He entrusted his affairs to Him, saying, “Indeed, I am migrating to my Lord.” So, Allah Almighty directed him toward the blessed land — a testament to its status and significance in the sight of Allah.

Allah, glory be to Him, chooses whatever places, times, and individuals He wills, for whomever He wills; such was His divine decree.

This blessed land is a gift from Allah to us — a right He has affirmed from above the seven heavens. To tear us away from our land would be an impossibility — as difficult as plucking the sharp, hooked thorns of the qatad plant.

O worshippers,

Holding fast to this land and loving this sacred territory is an act of worship — a means of drawing closer to Allah. It embodies our Islamic identity and represents the true nature of our connection to our land, our heritage, and our glory. I do not refer here merely to a historical legacy, but to a profound Islamic and civilizational heritage; for we are a people of civilization, thought, and culture.

This land has been home to Muslim scholars and thinkers who played a significant role in spreading our civilization and culture — transcending geographical and historical boundaries. Because we carry a humanitarian message that defies the very concept of borders and reaches beyond the constraints of time, this civilization has spanned continents and seas, defined by its distinct characteristics, noble values, and virtuous ethics — all preserved in tablets, manuscripts, books, and records. It is a history of an Islamic civilization rooted in humanity, held within the heart.

In a noble Hadith, Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Guarding the frontier for a day and a night is better than fasting and praying throughout a month. If one dies while in this state, his deeds will continue to be recorded, his provision will continue to flow, and he will be spared the trials of the grave.”

Furthermore, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “One who repents from a sin is like one who has never committed a sin.” Call upon Allah with certainty that He will answer; blessed are those who seek His forgiveness. I seek forgiveness from Allah.

In the name of Allah. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon the master of all messengers — our master Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the pure and the trustworthy — who made love for him a part of faith, and his Sunnah a path to Paradise. May peace and blessings also be upon his family, his companions, and those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment.

Know, dear brothers and sisters, that you are living through blessed days — a season that returns each year to remind us of Allah’s bounties and the blessings He has bestowed upon this land, as well as the virtue of remaining steadfast (ribat) within it.

It is the olive harvest season — a tree that Allah the Almighty has specifically mentioned in His Holy Book, even swearing by it in His revelation: “By the fig and the olive.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also praised it, saying: “Eat the olive oil and use it for anointing, for it comes from a blessed tree.”

Servants of Allah, the olive harvest season is not merely an agricultural season… It is not merely for harvesting fruit; rather, it is a school of faith and a profitable trade with Allah, embodying profound meanings. Foremost among these is that the olive tree serves as a symbol of steadfastness and patience. Al-Aqsa is adorned with such trees; they are not just fruit to be picked, but an inherited identity, a history to be recounted, and a sense of belonging — with roots that strike deep into the earth, defying drought and enduring hardships and aggression. They inspire us to remain firm in the truth, to hold fast to our land, and to maintain our presence upon it.

_________

“My master, O Messenger of Allah, You are remembered every single day”

Like our own, these roots remain alive; they may wither, but they shall not perish — save by the command of Allah. Their branches tell the story of our ancestors; they are the memory of those who came before us, a blessing upon the land, a joy within our homes, and a testament to resilience and deep-rootedness.

Preserve the blessing of this season by shunning sins, and draw closer to Allah — the Almighty and Majestic — through your love for your land, by cultivating it, holding fast to it, and remaining steadfast upon it. O servants of Allah, increase your prayers and salutations upon your Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). He, peace be upon him, said: “Increase your prayers upon me on Friday and the eve of Friday; for whoever sends prayers upon me once, God will send prayers upon him 10 times.” The Generous Lord bestowed a great favor upon His noble Prophet by exalting his renown throughout the worlds, as He says: “And We have raised high your remembrance.” His Lord — Exalted is He in His highness granted him what He had not granted to any other among the first or the last, as promised: “And your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied.”

Furthermore, Allah — Glorified be He — has taken it upon Himself to defend His Prophet against every obstinate criminal and persistent transgressor, declaring:

“Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers.” He has threatened them with a painful torment and a curse until the Day of Judgment, in accordance with His words: “Indeed, those who annoy Allah and His Messenger — Allah has cursed them…” …in this world and the Hereafter.

And He has prepared for them a humiliating punishment.

My master, O Messenger of Allah,

Your noble name holds a great and unique place in the hearts of Muslims throughout the ages and across time.

It is a magnificent and honourable name — a name we bestow upon our children, a name carried upon our tongues, cherished by our hearts, and one that brings solace to the soul. This reflects the depth of love for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the intensity of our attachment to him, his guidance, and his life’s example.

My master, O Messenger of Allah, You are remembered every single day — in our prayers and our invocations, by night and by day, in private and in public. For you are the master of all creation, the Messenger of humanity, the Messenger of mercy.

_________

“O Allah, be our Helper, our Supporter, and our Strength”

Know, O believers, that Allah has bestowed His blessings upon your Prophet from of old — as He has declared in His wise, eternal word, honouring and exalting His Prophet:

“Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings upon him and salute him with a worthy salutation.”

O Allah, send blessings, peace, and abundant grace upon Your beloved, our master Muhammad, and upon his family and his companions.

O Allah, bless our fruits and our harvests, and bless our provisions and our measures.

O Allah, make us among those who are grateful for Your favours, who fulfill the rights due to You, and who remain steadfast in Your religion and upon Your earth.

O Allah, grant us security in our homelands, and relieve us of our distress.

O Allah, protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque from all harm, and grant us the blessing of praying within it, at all times and in every season.

O Allah, we entrust to You the Al-Aqsa Mosque — its surroundings, its land, its skies, and its people who stand steadfast within it.

O Allah, keep it under Your care, Your protection, Your security, and Your safety.

O Allah, be our Helper, our Supporter, and our Strength.

O Allah, forgive us, our parents, all Muslim men and women, and all believing men and women — both the living and the dead.

Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of Might, above what they describe.

And peace be upon the messengers, and all praise is due to Allah. Lord of the Worlds, and establish prayer. (/)
